Communications

Turning complex policy into compelling communications

The Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga needed communications that could distill complex policy priorities and fundraising goals into materials that inspired donors and partners. As Communications Consultant, WOCC co-conspirator Nicole Kemp brought a strategic blend of communications expertise and design practice to translate multifaceted advocacy work into mission-aligned resources. Her work, from annual reports and one-pagers to TEDx video production, expanded donor support, clarified mission alignment, and amplified the organization’s voice in advancing gender equity.

  • Through graphic design and strategic communications consulting, Nicole worked with WFGC to distill stakeholder input into specific deliverables and marketing communication collateral reflective of their operations and programs. This included annual reports, vision documents, videos, and one-pagers that balanced narrative clarity with visual impact.

For the annual reports, Nicole designed both print and digital formats in Webflow and InDesign to align with brand standards and make financial and programmatic information accessible to a wide audience. The one-pagers condensed complex initiatives into easy-to-digest formats for use in donor cultivation, policy advocacy, and outreach.

She also produced and edited WFGC Executive Director Erika Burnett’s TEDxLenoxVillageWomen talk, ensuring it met TEDx standards while amplifying her message on reclaiming power through lived experience

    • Clarified WFGC’s mission and impact for donors, partners, and stakeholders through consistent, polished communications.
